Katherine has expressed herself through her art since the early seventies. Her work has progressed from the ‘hip’ of the good old days, through Southwestern design, culminating in her latest creations inspired by the textiles and people of Japan where she and her family lived for several years.
All of Katherine’s artworks are one-of-a-kind. These latest creations are inspired by her experiences in Japan, incorporating unusual textiles, many of which are up to fifty years old, which she obtained while living overseas. Creating her own designs inspired by the symmetry, balance, and rhythm of Japan, she builds these beautiful purses accentuating the form with the complexity and colors of the textiles. The attention to detail and beautiful handwork is Katherine’s signature, making her work unique.
