Working exclusively in intaglio printmaking, Anthony Cuca’s improvisational art is explores a sophisticated symbolic language. Part inventor, part alchemist and part painter, Cuca is continually challenged by the paradox of the expressionist printmaker: to marry spontaneity with planning.
Cuca works on metal, veneer, plastic and cardboard, and alters the surfaces of his matrixes with a rich variety of materials. He infuses his prints with a range of tonalities and textures to create inspired abstract art. Anthony Cuca can be reached at his Nine Hawks Studio in Morongo Valley, California at (760) 363-6494.
