I make beaded jewelry combining hand cast sterling silver beads and clasps with freshwater pearls for semi-precious stones. Most of the silver beads are designed using the lost wax casting technique. Some of the bead originals are designed in sterling silver, from which a mold is made. While I utilize a casting service to cast the beads once the original has been perfected, I design all of the jewelry using these beads.
I also produce a line of one-of-a-kind fabricated jewelry designed to compliment my beaded jewelry. The collection consists of one-of-a-kind rings and earrings featuring unusual stones bezel set in sterling silver combined with roller printed, forged, or cast sterling elements.
My work focuses on the textural differences between the silver and the pears and gemstones that I use. I like to combine smooth pears and cabochon stones with textured and oxidized hand-cast, roller-textured, or forged silver. Conversely, I use rustic or faceted gemstone beads with high-polished geometric hand-cast beads. All of my designs are very simple, and focus on the intrinsic beauty of the materials.
