Bruce Sink studied art at Columbus College of Art and Design. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Otterbein College. Bruce has worked in several mediums and has chosen to concentrate his studies on watercolor, scratchboard and oils. His subject’s concentration is on the natural world around him. He has traveled extensively around the United States and the world. Bruce focuses his work on control of light, color, texture, viewpoint and composition to create dramatic, but pleasing images. His goal is to take the viewer beyond simple images and create feelings. Bruce is now focused exclusively on wildlife painting and sculpture. Bruce has participated and won several juried exhibitions including the Central Ohio Watercolor Society, the Ohio State Fair, the Artreach Hawaii exhibit and the Westerville Art Festival. Gallery exhibits include the Carousel Gallery, Nationwide Gallery and the Columbus Museum of Art Collector’s Gallery. His works are in several public and private collections including Reynoldburg Public Library, Ross Laboratory and Bank One. Bruce has taught aqua media painting and has judged several art exhibits. He has been a member and officer of several art leagues. Bruce also speaks and provides painting demonstrations to many art groups.
Bruce has lived in many parts of the United States including Alaska, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Ohio and Texas. He now makes his home in Arizona & Alaska with his wife Mary.
