The Artist resides in Las Vegas, Nevada where she formerly worked for many years as an Entertainer in various productions on the Las Vegas Strip. She appeared as a Dancer and Singer in shows including “Pin-ups at the Movies” at the Sahara Casino & Hotel, “Keep Smiling America” at Harrah’s Casino & Hotel, The “Rich Little Show” and many more. She toured as a featured Singer with “Winchester Cathedral” and later starred as “Reba McIntyre” with several production revues such as “Legends in Concert”.
Her art career was born in the entertainment industry as she compiled an extensive portfolio of subjects while working backstage over the years. This has provided the artist with an especially perceptive eye for the representation of the dynamics and colors of the world of show business as she applies this background to her work.
In addition, the artist attended L.A. College and the University of Nevada studying both Fashion Design and Fine Arts. She has also studied privately under such renowned artists as Arne Westerman. She is a Signature Member of the Las Vegas Watercolor Society and the Boulder City Art Guild having been featured in several shows for her unique subject matter and style. She has a special talent for capturing both the portrait likeness and the intangible personality of her subjects. This combined with the artist’s impressionistic style has resulted in a demand for her unique watercolor portraits.
The artist has also created a series of work representing dancers, singers and entertainers from a backstage perspective in addition to many fashion illustrations for stage shows and artist conceptions for several show business projects. Her dream is to bring the unique untold scenes of backstage show business to the public much as Degas and Lautrec did in the French Impressionist period of the 19th Century, but from the perspective of the Dancer herself.
