I first discovered the southwest about 4 years ago on a family trip to visit the Grand Circle including the Grand Canyon, Arches, Bryce, and Zion. Needless to say, I was immediately in love with what I saw. I’ve since done my best over the years to leave my Michigan home and get out to the Colorado Plateau as often as possible. I currently reside in Cedar City, UT, a wonderful base for photographic exploration of the desert southwest. I first started photography using the 35mm format, but after a trip with a large format shooter, I was hooked. I’ve been shooting in 4×5 format for over a year now and there’s no turning back! Large format cameras offer unsurpassed quality with a large film area, and the abitlity with the use of movements to obtain maximum focus and depth of field.Every image is first drum scanned for maximum resolution and color rendition. After scanning, each image is digitally edited to produce the best print possible. All images on this site are available for purchasing. Most images are available in the following sizes: 11×14 16×20 20×24 24×30 and 30×40. Please contact for questions about pricing, matting, framing, and purchasing options. Panoramic and odd sized image pricing is available upon request.
Most of my images are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper using a state of the art LightJet Printer. The LightJet printer by OCE is the ultimate photographic printer. Using red, green, and blue lasers, the LightJet offers sharpness, image control and fidelity never before obtainable via traditional printing methods. It creates a true continuos tone print which is accepted as the standard for “fine art” archival photographic gallery prints. Some of my images may make better prints using other printing methods such as cibachrome or possibly inkjet printers. I am currently researching and testing other printing methods to continuously create the best print possible for every image. All images have the option of being printed on FujiFlex paper. Fujiflex has a look simlar to Cibachrome with its high color saturation and super glossy finish. Each mounted print is permenantly mounted on an archival foam core board. Open edition sizes do not have a limit on number of prints sold. Limited edition sizes are restricted to editions of 25 prints per image. After 25 prints are sold of any size larger than 16×20, the print price then goes up for the next edition of 25 prints of that particular image and so on. I use high quality wood frames for all my pieces as well as suede mats which give each print a rich and luxurious look. Conservation clear glass is used for all standard framed pieces. Museum grade “Masterpiece” glass is availalbe for all framed pieces which is the new standard for fine art displays. For a masterpiece glass upgrade, please add 20% to the framed price. For those who are worried about framed peices matching their home decor, or who would like to have total control over the final look of their peices, I suggest purchasing a “mounted print” only.
