Betty Lindely

Lindely,Betty we threeAs an artist, everything I do, from designing to listening to my inner spirit, is focused on giving back to the world what God has given me. Motivated by my value system, my goal is to create spiritual and cultural sculptures that evoke feelings of peace, love, and joy.

Using paper pulp clay, each figure is created to depict all integral parts of a community.

Sculptures, from the beginning of time, not only reflects where we are, but where we’ve been. They continue to evolve in many forms to depict history, whimsical or factual, but more importantly, the artist’s internal connection with his environment. A feeling, transmitted through the art form, for all to appreciate is the artist’s soul on display.

Betty, originally from Minneapolis, MN, moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1990. The colors and essence of the desert and the mountains has inspired her to create a spiritual art form.

Betty’s artwork has been shown in many and varied venues, including Casa de Artista’s in Scottsdale, Az, Torke Weihnachten (Christmas store) in Tlaquepaque Marketplace, Sedona, Az, Tempe Arts Festival in Tempe, AZ, Fountain Hills Festival of Arts & Crafts, in Fountain Hills, AZ, auctions and benefits. She won Best of Show in Sculptures in 2001 at the Tempe Arts Festival and a merit award (2nd place) in 2004 at the Mountain Artist Guild Art Show in Prescott, AZ.

Betty has spent over 30 years working with various mediums to express her spirit. Her latest work is with paper, designing unique, customized spirit women that speak to the soul.
