Aref is a self publishing, multi-award winning artist who exhibits all over the world.
Each of his pieces offers something entirely new to enjoy each time they are seen. Fragments of triangular shapes and shadows camouflage images that become visible one day but not another, depending on the viewer’s reception. Finding new pleasures in his work allows the viewer to delve deeper into their own interpretations, bringing infinite long term appeal.
Aref had a strong passion for the arts at a very early age. Although he graduated from the university with a law degree, he was always active painting and teaching art. After immigrating to Italy in 1980, his passion for painting became strongly influenced by the facets of cubism where he developed his own unique style. Inspired by the fundamental essence and beauty of music, women, and nature he brings his own brand of romanticism with a blend of abstractism, realism and cubism.

The beauty, grace and colour of Aref’s artwork has made him appealing to collectors worldwide. He moved to the United States in 1984 and now resides in Southern California. His works have been shown all around the country. He has showcased his work several times in the NY Art expo and has contracted with a publishing company in the United Kingdom which holds exclusive rights to distribute his work throughout Europe at more than two hundred galleries. He has received many awards in art shows such as the overall achievement award amongst the world’s best contemporary artists in The Third Annual International Fine Arts Competition and Exhibition in Hollywood, California. He has also been written about in various magazines.
