Silent Auction Benefits Henderson Library Arts Program
The Silent Auction at the ArtFest of Henderson reflects a history of co-sponsored events and projects between the Henderson District Public Libraries and the City of Henderson. The HDPL and the City of Henderson, Cultural Arts & Tourism Dept. share the goals of providing arts, culture, literacy and entertainment to the citizens of Henderson and the Las Vegas Valley. ArtFest of Henderson’s Silent Auction provides another perfect opportunity for the city and the library, working together, to accomplish these goals.
The Silent Auction at the ArtFest of Henderson benefits the Library Arts Program. The way the auction works is you sign up for a bid during the festival. If you win you buy the item. This is a great way to get 'deals' from your favorite artists at ArtFest, and support art in the library.
Artisans who offer their works for the Silent Auction will be featured here. Check back between now and the festival to get a first peak at what is available in the Silent Auction for 2007.

Valentine
Sculpture
Valentine created “Journey of the Heat” to commemorate his 20 years as a professional artist and the creation of his renowned “Ladies Series.” He has dedicated this piece, with his “lady” cradled in the petal of the calla lily, to the vision he experienced in 1991. That vision inspired his female figurative creations that remind us of the mysterious feminine beauty that surrounds us all.
From the original on metal, Valentine has reproduced an edition of only 50 Giclées on canvas, 28” x 33.” Each in the edition is meticulously hand embellished, adorned with a sparkling earring, signed, dated and numbered by the artist.
