The Carl Grove Combo can fill your request for any tunes from the Big Band Era, with a repertoire of more than a thousand songs. Always attired in tuxedos, the group plays swing, jazz, ballads, and Latin waltz. The Carl Grove Combo has been playing dances, reunions, weddings, conventions, private parties and trade shows in the Las Vegas area for many years.
Vocalist Marsha K. has her own group in California and sand with the “State St. Jazz Group.”
Trumpet and Flugelhorn player Dick Guider excels in all styles of music, Dick has worked many lounges on the Las Vegas strip and was Director of Music for Clark County School District.
Drummer Bob Grundy knows all the correct beats for swing, ballads and Latin music. Bob has played many in many Las Vegas lounges show room bands.
Peter Urquidi on the electronic keyboard with his versatile sounds and styles has played the “Top of the Mint” for fifteen years, and was half of the “Peter and Hank Duo” that played many Las Vegas Lounges in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
Saxaphonist Carl Grove is from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Carl played in high school band, the US Navy Band, and then on to Gene Krupa, Woody Herman, next to Las Vegas where he played many lounges and show room bands, including the Russ Morgan Band.
